My name is Kristen Fitzgerald and I am the creator of Southern Stained Glass.

My whole life I have been surrounded by art and creating. My mom is a graphic design artist, my grandma is a watercolor artist, and my great-grandpa was a ceramist. I had always known I loved making art but just never fell in love with a medium that was presented to me. That was until I stumbled onto a video showing stained glass and how it was made. I was instantly hooked and bought a beginner Stained Glass kit right away and have never looked back. For a year I was self taught and then took classes to perfect my technique.

Being born and raised deep in the heart of Dallas Texas I am naturally obsessed with Southern and Texas things. You will see most of my work tends to be nature-themed, Southern-inspired, or has something Texas in it. I love being in nature whether it be snow skiing, backpacking, or just taking a walk in the park. That is where I find my inspiration and ideas for my art. I hope to keep creating art you would want to hang in your window and possibly making this a full-time job for myself one day.
